Paul Gorka (1931-2020) - Surrealist Landscape Charcoal Drawing in Hand Carved Sculptural Frame, Signed. Surrealist landscape drawing housed under glass in a hand carved frame. The frame consists of various types of carved wood with areas of vedegris metal fasteners and detailing. The structure of the frame is a black metal frame which can be seen en verso. In good condition with wear consistent with age.

Paul Gorka (American, b. 1931) is known for his “fantasy realist” style. A cross between realism and phantasmagoric ambiance. Gorka studied at NYU, Philadelphia Academy of Fine Arts, and the University of Pennsylvania. His works are included in the permanent collections of PAFA, Museum of Fine Arts in Springfield, Massachusetts, Woodmere Art Museum, among others.
