Antique Taino Hand Carved Stone Folk Art Sculpture. Hand carved stone figurative sculpture. Tag en verso (most likely ex-museum). This piece was purchased from a large collection of indigenous art, mainly Papa New Guinea/Maori. All of the pieces we have from that collection are ex-museum pieces with pinned paper catalog tags en verso. The Taino pieces (this is the last of the five pieces we had) have a tag on the back with writing but we can’t really make out what it says. In used condition with wear consistent with age.
