A vintage folk art box heavily embellished with layered, sculptural scrollwork decoration. The configuration includes five small drawers arranged across the front facade and one additional drawer on each side, for a total of seven drawers. A crank mechanism is affixed to the rear, while the crank turns, it does not appear to activate any internal function. The top surface exhibits wear consistent with age, and marks along the back edge suggest the former presence of attached elements. Additional wear is visible on the bottom left back corner. The piece features a pass through aperture at the base. Condition is as shown in accompanying photographs.
