Small hand carved wooden sculpture depicting a nude male figure standing atop a tapered base. The figure is raising his right arm. There are areas of paint along the body which could be remnants from an overall paint treatment or had been added originally to accentuate the shape/shadows.
No signature or maker’s mark was found. The sculpture is in good overall condition with wear consistent with age and material. A repair is present on one of the feet, due to this, the sculpture should always be lifted by the sides of the base rather than the figure itself.
