Allan Ulysse is a Haitian metal artist celebrated for his steel drum cut metal sculptures known as fè koupé. Rooted in the tradition of Haitian metal sculpture, Ulysse transforms recycled materials, particularly steel drums, into pieces of art that blend traditional motifs with contemporary design. His work often draws inspiration from Haitian Vodou symbolism, nature, and everyday life, creating an interplay between spirituality, culture, and craftsmanship. Ulysse’s sculptures are characterized by their meticulous detail, showcasing his mastery of the repoussé technique, a hallmark of Haitian metal art.

Ulysse has gained international recognition for his contributions to the preservation and evolution of this unique art form. His work has been featured in numerous exhibitions, including group and solo shows in Haiti, the United States, and Europe.
