Vintage Brutalist Raku Vase
Dimensions: Height 16.75" (42.5 cm), Diameter 9" (22.9 cm)
Condition: Good vintage condition. Surface wear consistent with age. No chips, cracks, or restorations. One small section of the appliqué piece at the top is chipped. This could have been in the firing process since it looks like white paint has been applied. No artist signature is present. Please review photos for details.

The vessel is constructed from stoneware or earthenware clay and finished using the Raku firing process, resulting in a matte, carbonized black surface. The body is covered with etched, vertical striations.

Its most distinctive feature is the application of sculptural components at the neck, which are designed to resemble abstract bone fragments. One prominent piece on the front face has an abstract skeletal forms including a profile of a skull. There are a few cutout along the bottom of the neck. Two sections of the vase have a mottled green glaze detail.
