This impression is number 1 from a limited edition of 35, signed, titled, and numbered by the artist in pencil along the lower margin. In good condition with minor handling marks along the edges and light creases at the top and bottom left corners. Unframed.

Artist Biography:
Morris L. Blackman (1912–1984) was an American painter, draftsman, and printmaker active in Philadelphia. Trained at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, Blackman developed a distinctive style that combined social realism with mythological and allegorical themes. His graphic work, particularly his woodcuts, reveals a mastery of form and texture rooted in the humanist traditions of early modern printmaking. Blackman exhibited widely in regional and national exhibitions, and his work is represented in the permanent collections of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, and the Woodmere Art Museum.
