Antique German Lidded Chip Carved Tramp Art Box. Tri color wood exterior. Two small black drawers with lion pulls on the front. Metal detailing on the front in the purple velvet inset that reads: For Souvenirs (Zum Andenken). The initials “MS” bookend the phrase. Velvet paneling adorn the inset panels along the exterior of each side of the box. Interior is painting red with a small mirror encased with chip carved frame as well as a red velvet cushion. Filigree detailing on the top with a round metal pull. In used condition with wear consistent with age. Velvet is faded in areas. Footing in the back is missing a small layer. Two final layers on the top are missing.
