About the Artist

Enrico Embroli (American, b. 1945) is a mixed-media artist known for his integration of sculptural relief into two-dimensional surfaces. Born in Batavia, New York, and later based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Embroli studied at the State University of New York at Buffalo, earning both his B.A. and M.A. in Art Education. After twelve years teaching in secondary and post-secondary institutions, he devoted himself full-time to studio practice, working across painting, sculpture, and printmaking.

His art—marked by complex textures and the interplay of form and material—has been exhibited internationally and is represented in corporate, private, and institutional collections in the United States, Europe, Asia, and Africa. The Burchfield Penney Art Center (Buffalo, NY) holds examples of his work.
