Description:
A historically significant issue of the renowned French artistic and literary journal Cahiers d’Art, founded in 1926 by art critic Christian Zervos. This 1940–1944 edition holds particular importance as the first published after the journal's forced hiatus during the German occupation of France (1941–1943). Texts by authors, including Cassou, Char, Eluard, Prevert, Zervos, and others. Art by Picasso, Henri Matisse, Georges Rouault, Kandinsky, and Oscar Dominguez.

- Resistance-Focused Content: Features contributions from key figures of the French Resistance, including the writer Vercors (Le Silence de la Mer).
