Russell Tyler - Red Vibrations, Signed (2021)

$1,200.00

Russell Tyler - Red Vibrations
9 color, hand-pulled serigraph print on 130lb Cougar White.

Deckled, numbered and signed by the artist.
31h x 18w inches
Edition of 25

Tyler’s work methodically explores distinct formal variations in his paintings, from gestural abstractions to spacey landscapes and dense floral compositions. His sensuous, expressive painting style belies the fact that his work is highly structured and unfolds with deliberate shifts in color and form.

A demonstration of Tyler’s method-based approach to abstraction, Red Vibrations is composed of various shapes and forms that are organically imperfect yet decisively graphic at the same time. The edition makes references to various bodies of nature, such as weeds, trees, and ponds, without veering into representational territory. Of equal inspiration to nature, themes of technology and the digital age are simultaneously explored by Tyler. The contrast between the two sources of influence is visually represented through the edition’s value range; deep brown, earthy tones are set against fiery synthetic reds and richly saturated pinks, forging a jarring dichotomy within the work.
