Antique Anthropomorphic Polychrome Effigy Casa Grandes Clay Vessel
Polychrome effigy vessel featuring an anthropomorphic sculptural portrait along the rim. The piece shows stylistic qualities associated with the ancient Casas Grandes or Paquime tradition of northern Mexico, yet it may also be an early example linked to Mata Ortiz, the revival movement inspired by that archaeological lineage.
