Description:
A small scale Vietnamese stoneware jar of ovoid form, dating to the 17th century. The vessel is covered in a rich brown glaze achieved through iron oxide decoration, a technique characteristic of Vietnamese ceramic production during the Le Dynasty. Four applied lug handles encircle the shoulder (one now missing), a feature typical of storage and transport vessels.
