Rare original collotype after an Andrew Wyeth preparatory sketch created in advance of the finished painting Spring Fed. The composition includes Wyeth’s working notations indicating tonal shifts, color considerations, and light placement, offering direct insight into his artistic process.
This work originates from Andrew Wyeth: Drawings, a limited edition folio of 300 published in 1976 by Triton Press for The Metropolitan Museum of Art. This example is numbered 205/300 and hand signed by Wyeth at the lower center, with the edition number appearing at the lower left. The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s original blind stamp is present in the lower right margin, confirming authenticity and institutional provenance.
The work is newly framed in a lightweight grey washed wood frame, floated on an archival mat and glazed with non-glare UV protective acrylic. Both the print and frame are in excellent condition.
